We were delighted to host a meeting of our Campaign Cabinet at Brevard Zoo, an inspiring event that will help guide our strategy toward the completion of Our Legacy Campaign and the opening of the future Aquarium and Conservation Center.
Our Campaign Cabinet represents a select group of subject matter experts and community leaders whose generous contribution of time, knowledge, and passion helps us focus our efforts, build connections with the community, and reach our ambitious goals.
Led by co-chairs Linda May and Jack Mollen, our Cabinet includes representatives from across Central Florida, including Brevard, Orange, Indian River, and Volusia Counties. Featuring experts in business, law, boating, finance, conservation, government/port relations, and more, our Cabinet gives us access to a wide array of expertise and perspectives that are instrumental to the ongoing success of our campaign and future success of our Aquarium.
At Wednesday’s meeting, the Cabinet received an update on campaign progress from our CEO (more than $65 million in committed funds raised!), reviewed Aquarium designs with our Deputy Director, and worked with staff to brainstorm strategies to keep the momentum going as we move toward groundbreaking. The Cabinet proposed innovative ideas for campaign marketing, corporate outreach, and community engagement, and gave insight into government funding processes and opportunities. We are excited to carry these insights and strategies forward as we head into this exciting phase of our campaign.
We are so grateful for the Cabinet’s leadership and support, which will continue to benefit the region long after the Aquarium’s doors open to the public. Our Legacy Campaign is “ours” for a reason—we can’t do it without the support and participation of the community. Our Cabinet embodies the spirit of “Our Legacy” through their selfless dedication, and we could not be more grateful.
